“Mom, how are you feeling about the house these days? Is it still working for you?”

“Have you ever thought about what it would be like to live somewhere a little easier to manage?”

“Are there things around the house that feel harder to maintain now?”

“Is there anything that’s been making you feel unsafe or uneasy at home lately?”

“Are there days when the house feels like too much to handle?”

“Would you like to be somewhere with more social opportunities or support if you ever wanted it?”

“Have you thought about where you’d go if you ever decided this home wasn’t the right fit anymore?
